Fish and chips! It was really nice, fish had just the right amount of batter and was white and fluffy inside. The chips was yummy. I don't normally have the battered fish but this was worth while and at a very good price. Excellent service too

Wonderful Sunday Lunch. Great Service. Then relaxing on the big leather sofas with a coffee and the Sunday papers.

Booked this volunteer wood wardens plus Beat Forester, as a catch up lunch for 7. Very few people, no real atmosphere and freezing. We all had to keep our coats on. The music was also so loud we asked for it to be turned off. It then took over an hour before our food arrived, after having to ask why the delay. It appears the chef was having problems with his gas ring..... This was for 4 omelettes and chips, 1 scampi and chips, 1 prawn salad and a ham and cheese baguette. The first 5 meals appeared to be enjoyed but I think the chef must have dumped a whole bag of salad leaves in my bowl with the prawns. Too much and such a waste and unfortunately the baguette was so tough my husband gave up. He comment was "I though baguettes were supposed to be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside". I don't think we will be re visiting.

Many thanks to Wendy and the team at the White Hart who helped to make our family birthday celebrations go smoothly and comfortably.
We actually felt like we were at home and relaxed accordingly. The waitress was exceptional in seeing to our needs in a friendly yet organised manner.
You are to be recommended for group occasions.

 A lunchtime visit.
Visited here at 12 pm earlier today.
The White Hart is a beautiful old pub both internally and externally and is in the pretty village of Maulden near Ampthill.
We were sat very quickly and ordered our lunch from a varied menu.
I had the pie of the day(steak and ale) with proper mash, and vegetables and gravy,my wife had the same but with chips.
Our food was device and right up there with the best pub grub we had enjoyed recently and although it was slightly on the expensive side at £13.50 each, our food was well worth it.
A great meal in excellent surroundings.
